Marlin is a layer-0 protocol that enables decentralized blockchain networks with high-performance network infrastructure. Marlin promises to make the performance of decentralized applications indistinguishable from that of Web 2.0 predecessors by maximizing blockchain speed and scaling at the network layer.
Marlin is blockchain-agnostic. It provides gateways for a variety of layer-1 and layer-2 platforms. Unlike several other scaling methods that suffer from the scalability trilemma, where one of performance, decentralization, or security is compromised, network layer advancements are not constrained by the same limitations that govern consensus layers.
POND, the native utility coin, is used to stake validator nodes on the network.
