Tim Draper, a venture entrepreneur well-known for his early investments in Coinbase, Hotmail, Skype, Tesla, and Twitter, predicted a parabolic surge for Bitcoin that will result in gains of more than 900% within the next two years in an interview with The Observer.

After the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX in December 2022, Draper earlier projected that Bitcoin would reach this amount in six months. He thinks that high-quality, decentralized digital assets like Bitcoin would attract investors seeking safety.

Draper said that if Bitcoin doesn’t reach these levels by June 2023, the deadline can be postponed until the end of the following year. He thinks that investors looking to amass crypto assets managed by a centralized company should take note of the FTX crash from last year.

According to Draper, centralized cryptocurrency is inferior to decentralized cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Tezos, Bitcoin Cash, Aragon, and Cardano. He wonders why anyone would continue to own centralized crypto, except coins with a clear use case, like XRP or ETH.

At the time of writing, the price of Bitcoin is $24,705, up 1.68% from the previous day.
