PR & Communications in Lisbon

Join the PR and Communications team in Lisbon and help shape how CoinUnited communicates with press, partners and the crypto community. CoinUnited is a crypto-powered trading platform that has been building since 2018 and now reaches global markets around the clock. You will work closely with leadership to explain who we are and protect the brand.

This role is based in our Lisbon office. Portugal keeps Western European Time, an hour behind most of the continent, so the desk here opens early against the European session and overlaps the New York morning at the end of its day. Lisbon covers the PSI and the euro pairs, and it is our westernmost European site.

What you'll do

• Write and place press materials, announcements and executive messaging that explain our products and direction across crypto and traditional markets clearly and accurately.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry publications and partner communications teams to secure earned coverage.
• Manage the brand voice across community channels and respond to public questions about the platform in a consistent, credible way.
• Coordinate communications around product launches, market events and company milestones across time zones, since our markets run 24/7.
• Monitor brand sentiment and online reputation, then prepare clear, factual responses to misinformation and reputational risks.
• Partner with product, compliance and leadership to make sure every public statement is accurate and aligned.

What success looks like

In your first six months

• You have established a working press contact list and secured early earned coverage in relevant crypto or finance outlets.
• You have set a consistent brand voice and response playbook for community and media questions that the wider team can follow.
• You have delivered communications for at least one major product launch or company announcement from planning through publication.

What you'll bring

Must-have

• Strong written communication in English with the ability to explain complex products simply and accurately.
• Experience in PR, communications, journalism or a closely related field.
• Sound judgment about reputation, tone and what to say in public, especially under time pressure.
• Genuine interest in crypto, trading or financial markets and a willingness to learn the products deeply.

Nice-to-have

• Existing relationships with journalists or editors in crypto, fintech or financial media.
• Experience managing communications during fast-moving or sensitive situations.
• Additional language skills useful for reaching international audiences.
